Τhessaloniki is the second biggest city in Greece,
at the same time considered one of the
prettiest cities in the country. It was founded around the 2nd century b.C. and its named after Thessaloniki, Alexander the Great's sister.
Despite the fact that the city is quite big, you can easily walk all around its center, and indulge in sightseeing buildings of great historical interest, such as the White Tower, the Galerius Arch, the city castles, the church of saint Dimitrios, the Rotonda and many more. The city is famous for its delicious food, joyous nightlufe and warm hearted people. In the city center, i.e. in the Ladadika, Valaoritou, Athonos or the port side area, you can discover tens of different smaller and bigger restaurants where you can enjoy your meals & cocktails, while planning your later clubbing.
In the Nikis Avenue, you can find nice cafe-bars where you can drink your coffee while admiring the marvelous Thermaikos Gulf and then take a walk by the seaside and enjoy the city’s statues, parks and beautiful skyline. Thessaloniki attracts tourists of all ages and ethnicities all year long, as it covers a large variety of recreational activities. The city has an international airport, a port and a railway and bus station for easy access and transfer to and from other cities and countries.
